Late in the morning of Monday 19 September, H.S.H. Prince Albert II officially unveiled a monumental family tree of the Princes of Monaco in the atrium of Lycée technique et hôtelier de Monaco.

Created in 1970 in the Palace workshops under the aegis of Prince Rainier III for the former Museum of Napoleonic Souvenirs and the Palace Archives, it is decorated with the coats of arms of the main families that have been allied with the Grimaldis since the twelfth century.

Now intended to teach school pupils about the history of Monaco and its dynasty, it has been restored, reviewed and updated, up to the royal children, H.S.H. Hereditary Prince Jacques, the Marquis of Baux, and H.S.H. Princess Gabriella, the Countess of Carladès.

To mark the occasion, Madame Isabelle Bonnal, Director of Education, Youth and Sport, presented the Sovereign and H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover with the new revised and updated edition of the History of Monaco textbook, written by the Curator of the Palace Archives and Library Mr Thomas Fouilleron, which was recently published.
